Welcome!
I am excited to be your hostess for Sandy Cove’s Craft Around the Clock. Our devotional speaker for the weekend is Eliz Edwards. Eliz along with Melissa Sands will be helping me in the classroom throughout the weekend.
Our theme is a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. During the Saturday night snack we will have a short gathering to enjoy a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving feast (popcorn and jelly beans). If you feel so inclined, you may dress as your favorite Peanuts character, but this is totally optional (i.e. a yellow shirt like Charlie Brown or a blue dress like Lucy).
New to Craft Around the Clock: Please bring your crafting supplies for whatever projects you would like to work on in your personal crafting space. Examples of what some ladies work on at Craft Around the Clock: Quilting, Painting, Paper Scrapbooking, Mosaics, Diamond Dots, Knitting, Crochet, Cards, Digital Scrapbooking, Wreaths, Jewelry, etc… While there are workshops offered and some crafting supplies available to purchase at Sandy Cove, you should bring your own crafting supplies or projects to work on. You will be inspired and might learn a new craft while at Craft Around the Clock. If you are coming alone please let me know your crafting interests so that I can seat you near others with the same interest.
My goal for you: To relax doing what you love!
While I would love for you to join me in the classroom, workshops are optional. I do ask that if you know you want to participate in a workshop or make a specific card on the buffet, please email me your reservations. All kits will be on a first come first serve basis.
I will be placing an order for last minute Stampin’ Up supplies on Oct 23, 2024, please email me if you want to place an order for Stampin’ Up products that I can deliver to you at Sandy Cove. NOTE: There have been several new kit additions. If you like Stampin’ Up’s all inclusive card kits, check them out online and let me know which ones you want to order so that I can deliver them to you at Sandy Cove (FYI there is a sale right now on kits). You will earn two door prize tickets for each $25 of product pre-ordered through me.
My crafting experience includes: Crochet, Scrapbooking, Sewing Costumes, Jewelry Making, Macrame, Quilting, Kid’s crafts and of course Card Making. I like to try new crafts and I hope to always have at least one workshop that isn’t paper crafting so we can try new crafts together.
Below is a list of things I need to know to do my best to make your crafting experience great! Keep in mind the window rooms are highly requested and I will do my best to seat as many people in them as I can without overcrowding them.
My goals for figuring out seating in the craft rooms:
NOTE: These are goals and there are always extenuating circumstances they may prevent some of these goals from being met. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I do my very best to meet your requests.
Bay Rooms – I fill the bay conference rooms with 8ft tables for crafting. Each table will be shared by two people so that each person has a 4ft crafting space. If your group has exactly 4 people then I will sit you at two 8ft tables facing each other. For larger or smaller groups, at least one member of your group will be sharing an 8ft table with a member from another group, but you will still be next to your group. The two bay rooms are Ritter (room for 32 crafters) and Prichett (room for 18 crafters).
Non Bay Rooms – There are four conference rooms across the hall from the bay window conference rooms. One of these rooms is the classroom, Hatfield, and the other three rooms are for Crafters: Supplee, Guistwite, and Milburn. I can comfortably fit 16 six ft tables in these rooms as long as I have enough 6 ft tables available to me. What this means is that those who craft in the Non bay rooms typically get a 6ft table to themselves. This is great for those who like to bring their sewing machine or those who just like a little extra space.
I need to know
- the names of people in your group that you want to share crafting space with
- if you are a group of two, please let me know if you want to sit beside each other or across from each other.
- the names of other groups you would like to be in the same crafting room with if possible
- special needs (like location to outlets, windows, shared cutting table for crafters who sew, snack table etc.). NOTE: you will still need to bring extension cords because outlets are not plentiful.
- (optional) Workshop reservations (you can pre earn a door prize ticket for each class you make reservations for)
- (optional) Stampin’ Up Order (need this by Oct 20, 2024)
Please email your request by clicking on the email link or if you already know my email address then you can contact me directly through your email without filling out the email form (The contact form just helps protect me from SPAM).

To reserve your spot in class or to reserve specific Buffet Cards, please email me your request by clicking here. Remember it is first come first serve.
Card Buffet – Cards A – E are $2.50 per card
Preordering cards is helpful for me to prepare enough materials. If you know which cards you would like to make, please send me an email with the the letter and quantity of the cards you would like to make. For example: A 1, C 2, & D 1 (This means you want to make 1 of card A, 2 of card C and 1 of card D. I will have them waiting for you in the classroom. You will also earn extra door prize tickets if you preorder kits.) I have limited card kits available.
Everything you need to make one of the above pictured cards will be in a shoebox in the classroom. Tracie will be available to help you if you need it or if you are an experienced card maker you can make the card at your leisure. All materials are pre cut and ready to stamp and assemble.
(Hatfield is closed during workshops/devotions/meals/& game time)
Paper Pumpkin Kit Buffet Card Sets – Price Varies
Each of the sets below are from Stampin’ Up’s Monthly Subscription service. I use them in this setting to let you experience how the kits work and to see what comes in your box if you should choose to buy a subscription. The price for each kit is below each picture. Kits are on a first reserve first come basis.
These Buffet cards come in sets of three cards and they are $6 per kit. These kits will be first come first serve. You can reserve a kit by emailing me, but once they are gone they are gone. I can not order more. I have listed the number of kits I have under each photo.
Finger Knitting a Lap Blanket – Friday @ 7pm

Materials: Must bring your own yarn! No needles required… just your fingers.
We will be using the recommendations from the DIY Mommy for yarn and size. I will be bringing 3 large Skiens of Bernat Extra Thick Blanket Yarn from Joanns for my demonstration. Each of these skeins has 72 yards. (https://thediymommy.com/how-to-knit-a-chunky-blanket-for-beginners-no-needles-required/)
Other Yarn Options:
Hobby Lobby: Yarn Bee Eternal Bliss Yarn (218 yards per skien so you will need 6 to 9 skeins)
Wal-Mart: Mainstays Chunky Chenille Yarn (31 yards per skien so 6 to 9 skeins)
If the Friday 7pm session fills I will have a second session at 6:15 pm on Sat.
Stampin’ Up Scrapbook Kit Class – Saturday 10:15 AM
Class – Max of 10 people
Class Description: If you choose to order a kit, I will instruct you on how to go about organizing the kit and cutting the pieces. Each kit makes 3 double page spreads for a total of 6 scrapbook pages. You will not finish these pages in class, but I am available all weekend to take your questions.
If you choose not to order a kit before class, you can come and check the kits and listen to my short speach on how the kits work.
Materials needed for class if you purchase a kit: You will need a paper trimmer that cuts up to 12” wide and tall.
Fee: Varies based on kit ordered. I need to know which of the 4 kits you want to buy no later than October 23, 2024. You can sign up just to audit this class if you want to see it before you buy it. To check out the current kits available, go to stampwithtlc.com and click shop now. Then under the menu select Memory Keeping and you will see a selection for scrapbooking workshop kits.
Christmas Luminary – Saturday @ 2:00 PM
Class – Max of 10 people
In this class we will be using lots of Specialty Designer Series Papers and Foils to make a paper luminary to decorate your mantel or to give as a gift to a friend. The battery opperated tea light is included in your kit as well as a celophane gift bag to put it in. Everything will be provided in the class so you will not need to bring anything with you.
Door Prizes
I will have lots of door prizes to win, unfortunately I haven’t had time to take pictures to show you a sneak peek this time. I will be doing the drawing a little different this year. To save your crafting time, you will need to have all your door prize tickets entered by 11 am. At this time my helpers and I will take them into the classroom and draw the winning names and write them down in the order they were drawn. At 11:30 I will make the winning announcements. If you are not there or do not arrange for a friend to pick up your door prize, it will go to the next person on the list.
I am hoping the new system will allow for more crafting time!
