Welcome!
I am excited to be your hostess for Sandy Cove’s Craft Around the Clock. Our devotional speaker for the weekend is Eliz Edwards. Eliz along with Melissa Sands will also be helping me in the classroom throughout the weekend.
Our theme is a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. More information to follow about our theme as we get closer to November. During the Saturday night snack we will have a short gathering to enjoy a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving feast (popcorn and jelly beans). If you feel so inclined, you may dress as your favorite Peanuts character, but this is totally optional (i.e. a yellow shirt like Charlie Brown or a blue dress like Lucy).
New to Craft Around the Clock: Please bring your crafting supplies for whatever projects you would like to work on in your personal crafting space. Examples of what some ladies work on at Craft Around the Clock: Quilting, Painting, Paper Scrapbooking, Mosaics, Diamond Dots, Knitting, Crochet, Cards, Digital Scrapbooking, Wreaths, Jewelry, etc… While there are workshops offered and some crafting supplies available to purchase at Sandy Cove, you should bring your own crafting supplies or projects to work on. You will be inspired and might learn a new craft while at Craft Around the Clock. If you are coming alone please let me know your crafting interests so that I can seat you near others with the same interest.
My goal for you: To relax doing what you love!
While I would love for you to join me in the classroom, workshops are optional. I do ask that if you know you want to participate in a workshop or make a specific card on the buffet, please email me your reservations. All kits will be on a first come first serve basis.
I will be placing an order for last minute Stampin’ Up supplies on Oct 20, 2024, please email me if you want to place an order for Stampin’ Up products that I can deliver to you at Sandy Cove. NOTE: There have been several new kit additions. If you like Stampin’ Up’s all inclusive card kits, check them out online and let me know which ones you want to order so that I can deliver them to you at Sandy Cove. You will earn two door prize tickets for each $25 of product pre-ordered through me.
My crafting experience includes: Crochet, Scrapbooking, Sewing Costumes, Jewelry Making, Macrame, Quilting, Kid’s crafts and of course Card Making. I like to try new crafts and I hope to always have at least one workshop that isn’t paper crafting so we can try new crafts together.
Below is a list of things I need to know to do my best to make your crafting experience great! Keep in mind the window rooms are highly requested and I will do my best to seat as many people in them as I can without overcrowding them.
My goals for figuring out seating in the craft rooms:
NOTE: These are goals and there are always extenuating circumstances they may prevent some of these goals from being met. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I do my very best to meet your requests.
Bay Rooms – I fill the bay conference rooms with 8ft tables for crafting. Each table will be shared by two people so that each person has a 4ft crafting space. If your group has exactly 4 people then I will sit you at two 8ft tables facing each other. For larger or smaller groups, at least one member of your group will be sharing an 8ft table with a member from another group, but you will still be next to your group. The two bay rooms are Ritter (room for 32 crafters) and Prichett (room for 18 crafters).
Non Bay Rooms – There are four conference rooms across the hall from the bay window conference rooms. One of these rooms is the classroom, Hatfield, and the other three rooms are for Crafters: Supplee, Guistwite, and Milburn. I can comfortably fit 16 six ft tables in these rooms as long as I have enough 6 ft tables available to me. What this means is that those who craft in the Non bay rooms typically get a 6ft table to themselves. This is great for those who like to bring their sewing machine or those who just like a little extra space.
I need to know
- the names of people in your group that you want to share crafting space with
- if you are a group of two, please let me know if you want to sit beside each other or across from each other.
- the names of other groups you would like to be in the same crafting room with if possible
- special needs (like location to outlets, windows, shared cutting table for crafters who sew, snack table etc.). NOTE: you will still need to bring extension cords because outlets are not plentiful.
- (optional) Workshop reservations (you can pre earn a door prize ticket for each class you make reservations for)
- (optional) Stampin’ Up Order (need this by Oct 20, 2024)
Please email your request by clicking on the email link or if you already know my email address then you can contact me directly through your email without filling out the email form (The contact form just helps protect me from SPAM).

Workshops
To reserve your spot in class or to reserve specific Buffet Cards, please email me your request by clicking here. Remember it is first come first serve. If a class should fill up before Oct 20, 2024 and if I can order more materials, then I will have a second class.
Card Buffet
Cards – To Be Posted closer to November
Preordering cards is helpful for me to prepare enough materials. If you know which cards you would like to make, please send me an email with the the letter and quantity of the cards you would like to make. For example: A 1, C 2, & E 1 (This means you want to make 1 of card A, 2 of card C and 1 of card E. I will have them waiting for you in the classroom. You will also earn extra door prize tickets if you preorder kits. See the Sneak Peek Door prize section below.
I may add more, it just depends on time.
Everything you need to make one of the above pictured cards will be in a shoebox in the classroom. Tracie will be available to help you if you need it or if you are an experienced card maker you can make the card at your leisure. All materials are pre cut and ready to stamp and assemble.
There will also be past Paper Pumpkin card kits in sets of 3 cards for $6 to make in the classroom.
(Hatfield is closed during workshops/devotions/meals/& game time)
Past Paper Pumpkin Kit Buffet –
Pictures to be posted later.
These Buffet cards come in sets of three cards and they are $6 per kit. These kits will be first come first serve. You can reserve a kit by emailing me, but once they are gone they are gone. I can not order more. I have listed the number of kits I have under each photo.
