This week’s card is a bookmark card. This is the last card for my January Zoom Card Class so it is the last card made using the Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper. I will give measurements and directions on how to make this card without a die cut, but I will be honest, I used a diecut to create my cards for class.

You will need some sort of perforating tool to make the book mark card so that the person who receives the card can separate the bookmark easily from the card. All the Stampin’ Up products used to make this card are listed below in the product list, but all measurements are in the free pdf file also located below.

We will be making three each of the three designs pictured above. As always no stamped images are included in the kits so you will need to have your own sentiment stamps and ink. The first card also has some flowers stamped behind the sentiment. I used the Dainty Delight Stamp set, but any floral stamp will do. The flowers behind the Fresh Freesia oval is Designer Series Paper so those flowers are part of your kit. The next two cards will vary in DSP for all three of your cards. You will get one as pictured but the other two may be different color combinations from the same DSP pack. Email me if you would like to join the February Class.

This technique has been around for a while but I just saw it for the first time a few weeks ago in my Pinterest feed and knew I had to try it. I have seen a multitude of ways that it can be done and while I have included measurements in my instructions, it’s really more of a free form technique like a crazy quilt. Start in one area and work your way across the cardstock til you have filled it.

You will need Basic White or Very Vanilla Cardstock, Ink, Sponge Dauber or Blending Brush, and your favorite stamp set.
