I saw many versions of this kite card on the internet, but I did not like complicated measurements to figure out the diamond shapes to make this card. I was able to draw a template and upload it to Cricut Design Space which allowed me to use the Cricut to do all the diamond shapes for me. I still needed to score the lines for folding since I don’t know how to add score lines in Design Space. While I provide the design for free, I’m not sure if Cricut charges for it or not. I have also provided a pdf below for those who don’t have a Cricut. I provide a template that you can use to cut with scissors or I have also provided a template that can be uploaded into a cutting system like Cricut and turned into a cut file. Unfortunately I do not own software that would turn my pdf into a SVG file.
It is a fun card to make and I think it will be a fun card to receive. I ended up using small velcro dots for the closure because I did not have luck with magnets. You do need to burnish your score lines well to make it lay as flat as possible, but it is a bulky card. I hope you enjoy making the card and that the templates I provided help make it easier for you.

April Zoom Card Class – Last Day to RSVP!

In this class we will be making 8 cards total. Two each of the four designs, but some of the designs feature two different colors. As shown in the picture above, the butterfly card and fancy flora card will feature two different colors but follow the same design. The Seashell Card will be exactly the same for each card kit. The final card with the two flowers will feature the same card base for each card but the second card kit will have flowers with a bit more yellow instead of completely pink. This card also features a z fold on the inside of the card as shown in the picture below. The Fancy flora is also a gate fold card and it is also shown open in the picture below.
As always your card kit will contain everything you need except stamped images, glue, and dimensionals. If you need any of these items please check out my online store or email me. NOTE: The only stamps you will need are sentiment stamps and some ink for shading with a sponge dauber. I did stamp one flower on the inside of the z fold card but you can hardly see it in the picture. All other flowers for the cards are either die cut from DSP or die cut from cardstock.
