Pinecone Surprise Card

by

A Fun Fold for the Holidays!

If you love creating cards with a little something unexpected, you’re going to love this Pinecone Surprise Card! This fun-fold design combines the rustic beauty of the Alpine Winter Designer Series Paper with the detailed pinecones and evergreen accents from the Frosted Pinecone Bundle to create a special holiday card that’s sure to impress.

The Alpine Winter DSP brings the beauty of the season to life with its pinecone and evergreen patterns, while the Frosted Pinecone Bundle adds beautiful layered pinecones that really stand out against the wood-grain background. I added a few gold accents to finish the design and bring in just a touch of holiday sparkle.

But the real surprise is on the inside! When you open the card, the unique folding mechanism reveals a series of diamond and triangular panels that create a dimensional display. It’s such a fun design to make and an even more fun card to share with someone special.

Although this card looks complicated, taking it one step at a time makes the assembly much easier. I’ve included cutting instructions, assembly directions, and diagrams to help you put all the pieces together.

Whether you’re making handmade Christmas cards for friends and family or simply enjoy trying a new fun-fold technique, the Pinecone Surprise Card is a wonderful way to showcase your favorite holiday papers and dies.

Ready to give it a try? Gather your Alpine Winter DSP and Frosted Pinecone Bundle, and let’s get crafting! Don’t have these supplies, click the button below and you will find all the supplies you need in the online store. I hope you enjoy making this special card as much as I enjoyed designing it.

Happy Stamping!

Mosaic Garden Twist & Pop Card

by

The third and final card in the Mosaic Garden series is a fun Twist & Pop card!

The inside of the card features a fun pop-up element decorated with dies from the Poetic Petals Dies. The flowers and leaves are die-cut from the 2026–2028 In Color Pearlized Specialty Paper, which adds a beautiful touch of shimmer to the card. Unfortunately, the shimmer just doesn’t photograph well, so you’ll have to see it in person to really appreciate it!

The Mosaic Garden Designer Series Paper is used on the inside of the card, bringing together all of the colors used throughout the design. You might even say that the DSP is the inspiration piece for this card—it’s what helps pull all of the colors and elements together into one cohesive design.

This card may look a little complicated, but the free instructional PDF below the product listing includes all of the measurements, materials, and step-by-step assembly directions to help you create your own Twist & Pop card.
