Lacy Petal Cards

April 9, 2021 by Tracie

Today’s project features the Lacy Petals Dies in the current Mini Catalog. This set gives you four identical petals to cut out at once and it contains a set of 4 small and 4 large. You also have the option of cutting the petals without the lacy cut outs. I used these petal dies with the lacy cut out part to make the card on the pastel card with the large flower. The bright card was made with two flower dies from the same set to create three fun whimsical flowers. All materials are listed in the PDF file as well as the measurements to make these fun lacy petal cards.

Cards Made with the March Paper Pumpkin Kit Leftovers

After I make my Paper Pumpkin kit according to the directions that come in the kit. I take use the stamp set and any leftover embellishments to make more cards. These are the two cards I was able to make by adding a card base and a circle to my leftover pieces. For those who got the March kit, I cut three inches off the envelope insert and used for the cards.

April is: Month of the Military Child

dandelion cards

The above Dandelion cards are card kits I made with Stampin’ Up’s very vanilla note cards in honor of: Month of the Military Child.  Each person who signs up for the class being held at the VFW on April 24, 2021 will get one free card kit to make and send. If you buy a ticket for a friend who has not yet been to the VFW card making classes you will get an extra card kit. You can RSVP on my Facebook page or send me an email using the link on the top menu bar. If you want to see the pictures of the cards we are making for the class… keep scrolling and you will see the advertisement for the class.

Time to say goodbye to the 2019 – 2020 In-colors and many other products in the 2020 – 2021 Annual Catalog. The current mini catalog is good until June 30, 2021 and you will see a few of those items carrie over into the new Annual Catalog that goes live May 4th, 2021.

Click the Shop Now button and then click on the Last Chance Products sale to see pictures. There are some products that are discounted. You can also click here to see a PDF File of the last chance products. To clarify about the bundles in the Last Chance Products sale: You will no longer be able to buy the bundles from the Annual Catalog but some of the stamps, dies and punches are being continued but not as a bundle. So you may see the bundle marked as last chance but not the stamp set. It can be a little confusing. Also there are quite a few punches being discontinued so look carefully and let me know if I can help.

Bouquets, Boats, & Berries Class at the VFW in Havre de Grace, MD

I will be teaching a class at the VFW in Havre de Grace, MD on April 24, 2020 from 5pm – 8pm. This is the third class I have held there and we have had a great time. Tickets cost $25 and cover the cost of your card kit, light refreshments and door prizes. The class is limited to 20 people so that we can maintain social distancing, but it is a large room on the 2nd floor of the post. Contact me by clicking the email button above on the menu bar to find out how to purchase your ticket. ONLY 4 tickets left.

The 9 cards we are making are pictured above and I have designed them so that each one is different even though technically we are only making 3 each of 3 different designs. I will have several sentiments for you to choose from so that you can make the cards fit your needs.

You can also RSVP on my Facebook page in the events section.

Four Fold Card from Paper Blooms DSP

February 19, 2021 by Tracie

Nine days left before the end of Sale-A-Bration so if you like this Paper Blooms DSP featured in today’s project you need to place an order soon. Today’s PDF file is using the free Paper Blooms Paper from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog. I modified the four fold card from Lyssa. She used a card base made from a 12 x 12 inch sheet of Cardstock and since I was making them for a class I needed to be able to make the card base from 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper. (Note: I apologize my sample used the wrong blossom punch. I accidentally used an older blossom punch instead of the current one but will be using the current blossom punch in the kits for class.)

Sandy Cove Make-n-Takes

I am at Sandy Cove this weekend and I brought everyone a make-n-take to create while they are here this weekend at Craft Around the Clock. They can finish their card anyway they like but I have featured 6 different ways for them to cut their DSP in their kit and thought I would share them on my blog as well. These cards feature the free pack of Flower and Field paper from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Your chance to get this free paper ends on February 28, 2021. Any $50 retail purchase will earn you a level one gift from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. All the cards also feature the Medium Daisy Punch, the Story Label Punch and the Happy Thoughts stamp set.

Each card kit started with:

4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Basic White card base

4″ X 5 1/4″ piece of DSP

1 Basic White Story label punch piece

2 Medium Daisies punched from Basic White

1 circle punched from So Saffron and embossed with the Tastefull Texture 3D embossing folder.

Cut the 4″ x 5 1/4″ DSP into strips that measure 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″. You will have a little leftover DSP when done.
Cut 1 1/2″ off the front of the Basic White Card Base. Cut the 4″ x 5 1/4″ DSP into strips that measure 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ (Glue to Front) and 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ (Glue to inside of the card).

Cut the 4″ x 5 1/4″ DSP in half so that you have two strips that measure 2″ x 5 1/4″. Then cut 2″ off one strip and 2 1/2″ off the other strip. Flip over two pieces of the DSP so that you show both designs.
Cut the 4″ x 5 1/4″ DSP into 3 strips that measure 1 5/8″ x 4″.

Cut the 4″ x 5 1/4″ DSP on the long side at 4″ creating a 4″ x 4″ square and a strip of 1 1/4″ x 4″ rectangle. Flip one of the pieces over and adhere to your card base.
Cut the 4″ x 5 1/4″ DSP on the long side at 1 1/4″ to create the rectangle at the bottom that measures 1 1/4″ x 4″. Take the remaining square of DSP and cut off 1/8″ off one side and then turn 90 degrees and cut it into 1 1/4″ strips and adhere as shown.
