Halloween Fun Fold Card

This week’s card is a Halloween Fun Fold using the Tricks & Treats stamp and die set along with the “Them Bones” Designer Series Paper from the brand new Stampin’ Up Mini Catalog. What I love about this fun fold is that you make it with a regular card base. You simply cut off half of the front of the card base, score it, and reattach it in a different place. Then of course decorate it with your choice of DSP, stamps and die cuts. For all the measurements and materials. Check out the free PDF file below.

September Zoom Card Class

This class will include 8 cards. Two of the card pictured on top and 3 each of the cards pictured on the bottom. The picture on the top right is the inside of the card on the top left. Because of the intricacy of this card we will only be making two. Two of these cards feature new product from the upcoming mini catalog (Pick of the Patch and Autumn Leaves). The bottom right hand card features the Timeless Arrangement dies from the current Annual Stampin’ Up Catalog.

Your class kit will come with all paper, die cuts and embellishments shown to make the cards as pictured. You will need to have your own stamps, ink, glue and basic crafting supplies to make your cards during the zoom class. During the zoom class I provide instruction on how to assemble the cards.

October Zoom Card Class

This class will include 8 cards. Two of each card pictured above. The top left picture is a fun fold card. The center folds one way and the top and bottom section fold out the opposite direction. The Bear card is an angled gate fold card and the bottom right hand card is a diorama card with three layers. The trees are the front layer, the deer is the middle layer, and the DSP is on the back layer.

Your class kit will come with all paper, die cuts and embellishments shown to make the cards as pictured. You will need to have your own stamps, ink, glue and basic crafting supplies to make your cards during the zoom class. During the zoom class I provide instruction on how to assemble the cards.

Folded Kite Card

I saw many versions of this kite card on the internet, but I did not like complicated measurements to figure out the diamond shapes to make this card. I was able to draw a template and upload it to Cricut Design Space which allowed me to use the Cricut to do all the diamond shapes for me. I still needed to score the lines for folding since I don’t know how to add score lines in Design Space.  I have shared my design on Design Space and here is the link: https://design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/63e00b866659be821a8ea835 

While I provide the design for free, I’m not sure if Cricut charges for it or not. I have also provided a pdf below for those who don’t have a Cricut. I provide a template that you can use to cut with scissors or I have also provided a template that can be uploaded into a cutting system like Cricut and turned into a cut file. Unfortunately I do not own software that would turn my pdf into a SVG file.

It is a fun card to make and I think it will be a fun card to receive. I ended up using small velcro dots for the closure because I did not have luck with magnets. You do need to burnish your score lines well to make it lay as flat as possible, but it is a bulky card. I hope you enjoy making the card and that the templates I provided help make it easier for you.

April Zoom Card Class – Last Day to RSVP!

Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 6 pm

Fee: $22 plus $4 S&H

In this class we will be making 8 cards total. Two each of the four designs, but some of the designs feature two different colors. As shown in the picture above, the butterfly card and fancy flora card will feature two different colors but follow the same design. The Seashell Card will be exactly the same for each card kit. The final card with the two flowers will feature the same card base for each card but the second card kit will have flowers with a bit more yellow instead of completely pink. This card also features a z fold on the inside of the card as shown in the picture below. The Fancy flora is also a gate fold card and it is also shown open in the picture below.

As always your card kit will contain everything you need except stamped images, glue, and dimensionals. If you need any of these items please check out my online store or email me. NOTE: The only stamps you will need are sentiment stamps and some ink for shading with a sponge dauber. I did stamp one flower on the inside of the z fold card but you can hardly see it in the picture. All other flowers for the cards are either die cut from DSP or die cut from cardstock.

New 2023 – 2024 Annual Catalog Debut Class!

If you want to see some of the new products. Sign up for my Zoom Catalog Debut Class by April 30th. Cost is $10 and $2 S&H. Your debut packet will include 3 card kits using some of the new product and other goodies to show off the new colors. I also have door prizes that I give out during the class. Framed Floret Cards

This week’s cards are two more cards in the January class using the Framed Florets and Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper. I put these cards together in one blog post because the die used to cut the oval frame in the top card also cuts out the center so instead of having a bunch of leftover brushed gold ovals, I designed the bottom card using the gold oval. Both of the cards use florals die cut from the Awash in Beauty DSP. One of the sheets from this pack has a full 12 x 12 page of spaced flowers and stems made specifically to be die cut with the Organic Beauty Dies.

The top card features a center oval of flowers also cut from a different sheet of DSP from this same pack. I was able to cut out 6 bouquets of flowers buy carefully cutting between the groups of flowers and then die cutting the center of the bouquet with the oval die from Framed Florets. February Zoom Card Class

We will be making three each of the three designs pictured above. As always no stamped images are included in the kits so you will need to have your own sentiment stamps and ink. The first card also has some flowers stamped behind the sentiment. I used the Dainty Delight Stamp set, but any floral stamp will do. The flowers behind the Fresh Freesia oval is Designer Series Paper so those flowers are part of your kit. The next two cards will vary in DSP for all three of your cards. You will get one as pictured but the other two may be different color combinations from the same DSP pack. Email me if you would like to join the February Class.
