This week’s card is a collection of three quick Designer Series Paper cards featuring the new Flowering Zinnias and A Little Latte DSP paper packs. The card with 3 different pieces of DSP uses the stack and cut method and will prepare the DSP to make 3 cards. Each card will have a different variation for the placement of the DSP. The next two cards feature a smaller portion of DSP than I usually use on a card which allows you to create 12 cards from one sheet of DSP. Most of the decorative piece also came from the DSP and I simply fussy cut them. Don’t panic, I am not a huge fan of fussy cutting but the smooth thick lines on coffee cups made them easy to cut out. While the zinnias don’t have the same smooth lines, they go so far to the other extreme that fussy cutting them was simply a matter of jiggling the scissors as I cut a very zig zaggy circle. Not sure that’s a word but that’s how I cut it.

April Zoom Card Class

In this class we will make a total of 8 cards, 2 each of the 4 designs pictured above. The submarine and hot air ballon cards are both pop up display cards. The tools card is a basic card, but as you can see includes a lot of die cuts. The final Ice Cream card is actually a pocket card and the ice cream cone itself comes out and flips open. See below for a picture. Notice the Designer Series Paper is different on the ice cream card pictured below from the one in the picture above. You will receive one of each card in your kit, so they will not be exactly the same.
You will need your paper snips (scissors) for this class to trim off the circle die cut in the ice cream card. No stamped images are included in the kit, so have your own stamps and ink ready to complete these cards. I used Azure Afternoon and Pool Party ink from Stampin’ Up.
April Bonus Project

All paper will be precut, scored, and embossed in your kit. You will need your own ink and stamps to finish off the cards and box since no stamped images will be included. I used Pool Party and Calypso Coral Ink for my cards. I will be making a video to show you how to assemble the cards. You will need your own glue and scissors as well.

Class kit will include at least 5 card kits using the new in-colors and other new products. During the class we will go through the catalog and I will feature the products that I have purchased and we will have door prizes for all as well. It is a fun class to check out fun new products from Stampin’ Up.
