The NEW Stampin’ Up January – April 2023 Mini Catalog is now available. Next Friday I will be holding a catalog debut via Zoom. Email me if you would like to come. For those who RSVP’d by the deadline, I mailed your packets yesterday. Your packet contains 3 note card kits using some of the new products from both the Mini Catalog and the new Sale-A-Bration catalog.

Instead of taking time during the debut to make the card kits, I have made a video showing you how to assemble your kits.

Each of the cards features a sheet of Designer Series Paper from 3 different packs in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. The Sale-A-Bration catalog are items that can only be earned by purchasing $50 in retail from the new mini catalog or the annual catalog. Some of the free items require a $100 retail purchase. You can also earn free Sale-A-Bration items by buying kits or a paper pumpkin subscription. Basically anything you order from Stampin’ Up will go towards earning you free merchandise from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog. This is a limited time offer and the end of February will conclude Sale-A-Bration until next year! That’s right, as of right now, Stampin’ Up is going back to only having Sale-A-Bration once a year so that they can implement new sales through out the year! I will update you as I learn about new products and sales!

We will be making 8 cards, two each of the designs seen above. All the cards feature the Awash in Beauty DSP. Your kit will include all the pieces need to complete the above cards including embellishments and envelopes.

NOTE: No stamped images are in the kit, but the flowers shown are all dic cut from the DSP. You will need your own sentiment stamps and ink to finish the outside of the cards as well as your own glue. I used True Beauty and Framed Florets for my sentiments. I also used the True Beauty stamp set to decorate the inside of my cards. You are welcome to finish the cards how ever you like.

The card with the belly band features a tear off book mark which is why there is ribbon showing coming off the top.

Kit Extras: Your card kit will also include two extra pieces of Awash in Beauty DSP cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″ to make more cards. You will also receive one sheet of Stampin’ Dimensionals.

We will meet on zoom to complete the cards and I draw names for door prizes! Email me if you would like to order a kit.

Easy Tea Boutique Cards

This week’s cards feature the new Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper, stamps, and die cuts. I am using this set of five cards for my Annual catalog debut class which is scheduled for tomorrow night (May 14, 2022).

I wanted to share the new 2022 – 2024 In Colors with my customers by featuring each of them as a card base for these quick and easy cards. I was inspired by the multitude of 6″ x 6″ one sheet wonders on jesscrafts.com and quickly found several that fit beautifully with the new Tea Boutique DSP. I have not stayed with the no scrap left behind theory from Jess, but I hope you are happy with the results.

You can come and watch or you can gather your materials and create along with me. You will need Basic White or Very Vanilla Cardstock, Ink, Sponge Dauber or Blending Brush, and your favorite stamp set. You can precut your cardstock to 3 3/4″ x 5″ or you can have your paper trimmer handy to cut it during class.

We will make 8 cards in this class and the materials kit is $22 plus $4 shipping and handling. We will be making 2 of each card. All paper will be cut and scored ready for you to assemble during class. No stamped images will be provided, but the Designer Series Paper adds all the color to these cards so you will simply need some sentiments to finish them off. I instruct how to assemble the cards during the zoom class and you will need to provide your own glue.

4 x 5 1/4 DSP Cards Part 4

This is the final instalment for the 4 x 5 1/4 DSP Card sketches. I have found plenty more ideas on the internet to use DSP and will have future sketches to add to what has been presented in the last couple of weeks. Starting next week I will have instructions for cards we will be making in my January 28, 2022 zoom card class. (NOTE: February’s Card class is advertised below!)

This card uses new 4″x6″ Specialty paper called Abstract Beauty. On the left side of the card you can see where the light caught the gold foiling on some of the confetti. I used the Ice Cream Builder punch and two different embossing folders to create the ice cream cone. The sentiment came from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set.

The following card also uses Abstract Beauty DSP and some of the new Brushed Brass Butterfly stickers. I also layered the Label Me Fancy punch on top of the Label Me Lovely punch.

This final card is the same as the above card but an extra piece of cardstock was added for a mat in between the card base and the DSP. This card is also part of my January 28, 2022 card class. It uses the Beauty of the Earth DSP.

Zoom Card Class: February 26, 2022 6 pm – RSVP by Jan 28, 2022

The February Card class will use DSP from the New Horizons 6″ x 6″ DSP pack. We will be making 3 each of 3 designs for a total of 9 cards. All 9 cards will use a different piece of DSP from this pack so each card will be unique. I have the card pictured with the three pieces of DSP we will use and I will also give you the leftover pieces from the DSP so that you can use them to decorate the inside or use them to make another card. You will also receive a sheet of Mini dimensionals as a part of your card kit.

I have made a video of the cards so that you can see the windmill card is an easel card, the sailboat card is an inside z-fold card and the deer in the forest card has a shadow box effect because I used dimensionals for the forest.

The card kit will cost $22 and if you need it mailed, add $4 for Shipping and Handling for a total of $26. You can RSVP directly by emailing me by using the email button at the top of the blog or by going to my events page.

NOTE: Card kits only include cardstock, Designer Series Paper (DSP), and envelopes. Everything is cut, punched and diecut and ready to assemble. You will need to have your own glue. This particular kit does include a sheet of mini dimensionals. Stamped images are not included. If you would like to purchase any materials used for the making of these cards please contact me.

The only stamped images for these cards are the sentiments and the birds on the sailboat card.

Sandy Cove: February 18 – 20, 2022

I will be teaching in person classes at Sandy Cove during Craft Around the Clock. I will once again feature a card buffet where those attending the weekend can pick a card kit to make anytime during the weekend.

Buffet Cards (DSP will vary on some of the cards but will be DSP from the same pack. Prices per card kit will also vary and I hope to have prices up soon)

I will also be teaching a pop up diorama card class.
