This weeks PDF file has all the measurements to make the corner fold card above. I was inspired by a card made by a fellow demonstrator and she cased it from Cindee Wilkinson. I used the hydrangea from the Suit Sampler set in the Mini catalog which is a hostess set and the sentiment is from the Many Blossoms stamp set. All materials are listed in the file and shown below.

Last weeks blog featured the lacy petal dies and here is one made with vellum.

Upcoming Class: Annual Catalog Debut

I know it is a month earlier than usual but Stampin’ Up has made changes to their catalogs. The Annual Catalog will now be May through April each year instead of June through May and our mini catalogs will each last 6 months. The current mini goes from January through June and the new mini will start in July and go through December (NOTE: Due to the world wide shipping crisis the new mini will be delayed by one month so this year it will come out in August.)

I will be charging $5 (plus $2 for S&H) for materials this time to help defray cost and your packet will include materials to make 3 cards using new supplies from the new catalog, samples of the 5 new in-colors and a door prize. I will put door prizes in envelopes and randomly distribute them through out the packet so I won’t even know who got what until our zoom meeting. There are some beautiful new flower dies and super cute punches in the new catalog and I can’t wait to share them with you on the 14th.

Book Pop Up Card

This weeks PDF was inspired by a beautiful card made by Norma Lee. The card she features in her video is a 6″ x 6″ card but she was kind enough to include measurements for a standard A2 card as well. I made my A2 card using World of Good Specialty DSP and the Sailing Home stamp set. I also used the birthday sentiment from Peaceful Moments stamp set and the Smooth Sailing dies from Stampin’ Up.

April 10, 2021 Butterfly Class – RSVP by March 12th

This class features the new Butterfly Die cuts and DSP that is now available as an early release for the upcoming new Annual Catalog. All the Butterflies will be die cut for you and the mats will be cut and dry embossed for you as well. You will need a trimmer for this class because you will be cutting the two of the sheets of the DSP to learn two new 6×6 one sheet wonder techniques. I have used 5 different embossing folders for this class and the butterflies on the quadrangle card are die cut from a sheet of the DSP. You will need your favorite sentiment stamps to finish off these cards. I used the sentiments from the Framed for You stamp set. This set has four perfectly sized sentiments for these cards. We will be making a total of 10 cards for the class. The class is $25 for materials and $4 for shipping and handling if you need the materials mailed to you. If you are local you can schedule a pick up time.

Peony Stand Up Card

Today’s file is an instruction sheet on the Peony Stand Up Card that I made for a class. Next weeks file will be the instruction sheet for the Sail at Sunset card that we made during the same class. My peony card was inspired by a tutorial by Amanda Bates. I used her tutorial to make ten cards for a swap and then redesigned it for a class.

The pdf file contains the instructions and materials used for the Peony card. The DSP for the Daisy card was from last years catalog.

Free Calendar’s to Download

I decided to add some files that I make for homeschooling because they are calendars that can be used by anyone. One of the files is designed to fit in a half size binder just like all my crafting files that I have been sharing. I actually have a pro click binding machine that I use to make a calendar that I carry in my purse (yes, I have a big purse). I cut a piece of Peony Garden DSP to 8.5″ x 11″ so that I could run it through my printer to print the title page and then I used Basic Gray ink to stamp the large peony from the Prized Peony stamp set. The sentiment stamp came from the Peaceful Moments stamp set.

The second file is a yearly calendar that I use to keep attendance but you may find it useful for planning purposes.
