DSP Strip Card

Great card for using leftover strips of Designer Series Paper.  This card can be used for any occasion, just change up the DSP to fit the reason for the card. Don’t worry about making the strips go the same direction each time, just start in the middle and work your way to the outside. Change the strips to different widths or don’t leave a gutter between the strips for a completely different effect. This is a great card to have fun playing with paper, glue, and scissors.

Description: This card class includes 2 each of the four designs shown above. The top left is a Z-Fold card, the top right is an accordion fold card, the bottom left is a basic DSP card, and the bottom right is a shaped card using Everyday Arches dies. The accordion fold card is the Fancy Fold card for this class (NOTE: the two flowers inside the card are stamped.) This card class uses new DSP and Dies from the new Annual Catalog which will be available for purchase starting May 6, 2025. NOTE: The ribbon in the picture is not accurate, you will receive ribbon from the current catalog. It will still be white but will have a different texture than the ribbon shown. Optional Add on cards are shown below. If you opt in for the add on your kit will contain a total of 12 cards kits: 2 each of 6 designs.

What you will need for class: Glue, stamps, ink, and scissors (optional: Stampin’ Dimensionals). Inks I used for stamping: Early Espresso, Garden Green, and Blackberry Bliss.

NOTE About Card Kits for Classes: Everything for your card kit is pre cut and ready to assemble unless otherwise indicated. Card kits never include stamped images, glue, or Stampin’ Dimensionals. It does include cardstock, die cuts, Designer Series Paper, ribbon, or other embellishments that are pictured in the class advertisement.  Instructions for card kits can be found on my blog so if you miss class, you will still be able to assemble your cards.

Quarterly Paper Pumpkin Die Cut Set

Every three months, Stampin’ up designs a mini die cut set which goes with that quarters Paper Pumpkin sets. You do not need the die cuts to complete your Paper Pumpkin kits, but its a nice add on for future cards made with the stamp sets that come in your kits. The current set is called: Hugs Abloom Dies. This die cut set coordinates with the April, May, and June Paper Pumpkin kits.

Remember you can now access your Paper Pumpkin Subscription directly through your Stampin’ Up account. You will need to verify your Paper Pumpkin status using your email before buying the die set or any refills for past Paper Pumpkin sets. Email me if you are having trouble.

Triangle Scrap DSP Card

Just in time for Father’s Day! This is a quick and easy card that could be used for birthdays, Father’s Day or just a nice masculine card for any occasion. Of course you can change the Designer Series Paper and make a multitude of any occasion cards. Not quite a one sheet wonder but you only need a 3″ x 4″ piece of DSP from several coordinating sheets to make a stack of cards. I used all 5 pieces of the He’s the Man Specialty DSP. As you can see in my video, 5 sheets is too many for the trimmer to handle, but I just trimmed the last piece with my scissors to make it work. Below you will find all the supplies needed to make this card and this week I have a separate template for those who don’t want to wing it when they cut the triangles. You will still find all the measurements in the free PDF download.

Scrap DSP Card

This is a great card for using up scrap pieces of Designer Series Paper (DSP) or you can cut up a fresh piece. Which ever method you choose, it is a fun way to piece together a paper quilted card. Unfortunately some of the punches I used, as well as the DSP have been recently discontinued, but another great thing about this card is its versatility. It will look great with any small print DSP and a multitude of punches. So while I loved the Everyday Label punch and the Tailored Tag punch, Stampin’ Up has designed some great new punches which are available now.

You can come and watch or you can gather your materials and create along with me. You will need Basic White or Very Vanilla Cardstock, Ink, Sponge Dauber or Blending Brush, and your favorite stamp set. You can precut your cardstock to 3 3/4″ x 5″ or you can have your paper trimmer handy to cut it during class.

We will make 8 cards in this class and the materials kit is $22 plus $4 shipping and handling. We will be making 2 of each card. All paper will be cut and scored ready for you to assemble during class. No stamped images will be provided, but the Designer Series Paper adds all the color to these cards so you will simply need some sentiments to finish them off. I instruct how to assemble the cards during the zoom class and you will need to provide your own glue.
