This weeks card is a Fancy Fold card, copied and cased from Connie Stewart (NOTE: Copied and cased means that I took her measurements for the card base and pop-ups and then designed a new card using different DSP and Die cuts).

This is bright and cheery card using die cuts from Translucent Flower Dies set and the new Textured Note dies set. There are a few floral decorations on the inside from another die set as well. To get all the measurements and materials used to make this card, see the free PDF file below.

Simple DSP Card

This is a basic Designer Series Paper card that centers on how beautiful the paper is. This particular sheet of DSP is a border sheet so when it’s cut down to six – 4″ x 5 1/4″ sections you will have 3 different looks (see below). This card uses one of the March Online Exclusive dies called Framed Scenes for the ovals. Scroll down for the free pdf file.

Description: This card class includes 2 each of the four designs shown above. The top left is a Z-Fold card, the top right is an accordion fold card, the bottom left is a basic DSP card, and the bottom right is a shaped card using Everyday Arches dies. The accordion fold card is the Fancy Fold card for this class (NOTE: the two flowers inside the card are stamped.) This card class uses new DSP and Dies from the new Annual Catalog which will be available for purchase starting May 6, 2025. NOTE: The ribbon in the picture is not accurate, you will receive ribbon from the current catalog. It will still be white but will have a different texture than the ribbon shown. Optional Add on cards are shown below. If you opt in for the add on your kit will contain a total of 12 cards kits: 2 each of 6 designs.

What you will need for class: Glue, stamps, ink, and scissors (optional: Stampin’ Dimensionals). Inks I used for stamping: Early Espresso, Garden Green, and Blackberry Bliss.

NOTE About Card Kits for Classes: Everything for your card kit is pre cut and ready to assemble unless otherwise indicated. Card kits never include stamped images, glue, or Stampin’ Dimensionals. It does include cardstock, die cuts, Designer Series Paper, ribbon, or other embellishments that are pictured in the class advertisement.  Instructions for card kits can be found on my blog so if you miss class, you will still be able to assemble your cards.

Description: The catalog debut class is a walk through the catalog. I will show projects made with the products that I have purchased. I will also be showing products that are part of the May online exclusive. This is a great chance to see the products in use and ask questions about them. As part of your class kit you will receive 5 simple card kits using the new In-Colors as well as other new products. There will be other items in your class kit and a chance to win door prizes during the class.

Triangle Split Front Card

This week’s card is the final card that we are making in the February Zoom Card class. It features a split front card. It is not a hard card base to make but you make two card bases from a single sheet of cardstock, so plan on making them in pairs. This is also useful for cutting the Designer Series Paper, especially if you want to use the opposite side of the same DSP as I did in this card. Since the DSP doesn’t have a direction, you can make both your cards look exactly the same. I made a similar card a few weeks ago, but that DSP had a specific direction so I couldn’t rotate the paper to make them exactly alike.

I highly recommend using a cutting mat, metal ruler, and sharp blade for making the diagonal cut. Some people use the trimmer but, it does not fit and I don’t like bending the cardstock.

March Zoom Card Class

Fee: $22 plus $4 S&H

We will be making 8 cards for this class. We will make three each of the Floral Wreath and Ship cards and we will make two of the Kite Cards. As always no stamped images are included in the kits so you will need to have your own sentiment stamps and ink. The Designer Series Paper will vary for the Floral Wreath Card and the Ship card but you will have at least one card with the DSP pictured and one with a similar DSP from the same pack of DSP. You will make one Tahitian Tide and one Starry Sky Kite cards as pictured above.  Email me if you would like to join the March Class.
