DSP Strip Card

Great card for using leftover strips of Designer Series Paper.  This card can be used for any occasion, just change up the DSP to fit the reason for the card. Don’t worry about making the strips go the same direction each time, just start in the middle and work your way to the outside. Change the strips to different widths or don’t leave a gutter between the strips for a completely different effect. This is a great card to have fun playing with paper, glue, and scissors.

Description: This card class includes 2 each of the four designs shown above. The top left is a Z-Fold card, the top right is an accordion fold card, the bottom left is a basic DSP card, and the bottom right is a shaped card using Everyday Arches dies. The accordion fold card is the Fancy Fold card for this class (NOTE: the two flowers inside the card are stamped.) This card class uses new DSP and Dies from the new Annual Catalog which will be available for purchase starting May 6, 2025. NOTE: The ribbon in the picture is not accurate, you will receive ribbon from the current catalog. It will still be white but will have a different texture than the ribbon shown. Optional Add on cards are shown below. If you opt in for the add on your kit will contain a total of 12 cards kits: 2 each of 6 designs.

What you will need for class: Glue, stamps, ink, and scissors (optional: Stampin’ Dimensionals). Inks I used for stamping: Early Espresso, Garden Green, and Blackberry Bliss.

NOTE About Card Kits for Classes: Everything for your card kit is pre cut and ready to assemble unless otherwise indicated. Card kits never include stamped images, glue, or Stampin’ Dimensionals. It does include cardstock, die cuts, Designer Series Paper, ribbon, or other embellishments that are pictured in the class advertisement.  Instructions for card kits can be found on my blog so if you miss class, you will still be able to assemble your cards.

Quarterly Paper Pumpkin Die Cut Set

Every three months, Stampin’ up designs a mini die cut set which goes with that quarters Paper Pumpkin sets. You do not need the die cuts to complete your Paper Pumpkin kits, but its a nice add on for future cards made with the stamp sets that come in your kits. The current set is called: Hugs Abloom Dies. This die cut set coordinates with the April, May, and June Paper Pumpkin kits.

Remember you can now access your Paper Pumpkin Subscription directly through your Stampin’ Up account. You will need to verify your Paper Pumpkin status using your email before buying the die set or any refills for past Paper Pumpkin sets. Email me if you are having trouble.

Meandering Meadows Z-Fold Card

This is the final post using the Meandering Meadows 6″ x 6″ DSP. Patty Bennet showed many ways to cut the DSP on her site to make several beautiful cards and I took her idea to make these two cards. I’m not sure that they turned out much different than hers, but I know I definitely changed the sentiment. I chose to use vellum so as not to hide or to interrupt the design of the paper. This does make the sentiment a little lost, but that was the idea. For all the measurements and list of materials, check out my free pdf file below the product listing.

February Zoom Card Class

When: Friday, February 23, 2024 at 7:00 PM

Where: Online via Zoom

Fee: $20 + $4.50 S&H (if you need it shipped to you)

This class features most of the products from the Forever Love Suite in the New Mini Catalog. I have used other new and old products as well. We will actually only be making 6 cards (2 of each design) in this class do to the amount of Specialty DSP used to make these three designs.

The top card is a shutter card and it is a stand up display card for a very special person. Below you will see a picture of it completely open so that you can see it in its entirety.  This card also features die cuts and stamps from the new Thoughtful Expressions Bundle.

Your class kit will come with all paper, die cuts and embellishments shown to make the cards as pictured. You will need to have your own stamps, ink, glue and basic crafting supplies to make your cards during the zoom class. During the zoom class I provide instruction on how to assemble the cards. I also give away door prizes during every class. Email me to join the fun!

Card is laid completely flat to show all sections.

February Bonus Card:

This is a bonus project that can be purchased as an add on to the February class or it can be purchased separately.  I will make a video on how to assemble the card so that you can make it at your leisure.

As always no stamped images will be included in the kit, but all the paper will be cut and ready to assemble. Envelopes and other embellishments will also be included.

Sneak Peak at Sale-A-Bration 2024

Last week I said I would post the vertical or portrait version of last week’s card, but then I realized I’ve already posted it. So click here if you would like to make the portrait version of last week’s fun fold card.

This week’s card uses Flight and Airy Designer Series Paper which is a free designer series paper pack that you will be able to earn during Sale-A-Bration starting January 4, 2024. The die cuts used for this card are from some of the new die cut sets in the new mini catalog which will be available starting on January 4, 2024. The merchandise that is available now will be listed in the image chart below, but I will list the other products separately and they will be available starting in January.

What I love about this week’s card is how super easy it is to make and because of the beauty of the new Flight and Airy DSP . You don’t even need to put a sentiment on it. All the materials are listed in the free PDF file below along with the measurements. This is a beautiful card for any occasion and has me thinking of Spring before we even get hit hard with winter.

Stamping Hint: One great feature of the photopolymer stamps is that they will bend. The sentiment I used on the curved banner was not designed in a curve. It was a perfectly straight sentiment, but since I wanted to put it on a curved banner die cut… I simply placed the sentiment onto the acrylic block and gently forced it into a curve to match the die cut. Once I stamped it and pulled it off the block the stamp went back to its original shape. Note that I didn’t have to bend it a lot to get it to fit onto the diecut and I wouldn’t leave it on the block for long that way. I simply put the stamp on the block, stamped the sentiment, cleaned it and took it off the block.

NOTE: This is a 3 1/2″ x 5″ note card, not my usual A2 size card.

Free Mini Card Class Kit

This is not an in person class but you will receive a free pdf tutorial showing you how to make the cards as well as a video tutorial. The pdf tutorial will also contain measurements so that you can create more cards if you wish. You will receive the materials to make 2 each of 3 designs but the DSP for each one will be different, but they all come from the Bright and Beautiful DSP pack.

You can earn this Free Mini Card Class Kit by placing a minimum order of $50 retail using the following hostess code: Z4PZPW6Q . You can order anything from the online store. Please make sure the hostess code shows up in your shopping cart to earn this free mini card class kit.

Your kit will contain all the paper needed; pre cut, die cut and dry embossed as well as the white baker’s twine. Your card kit will not contain any stamped images, but the only stamp you need to complete these cards is a Happy Birthday sentiment. You will also need glue, Stampin’ Dimensionals, and ink. I’ve used Blueberry Bushel, Berry Burst, and Night of Navy but Memento Tuxedo Black will work for all three cards. I used the Beautiful Balloons Bundle with the Bright & Beautiful DSP to create these cards but you won’t need them to make your cards.

Timeline

This card class will feature 3 fun fold cards using the Online Exclusive Meandering Meadows DSP. We will be making 3 of each card (Z-Fold, Double Card Base, & Bay Window Card). You will receive a 1/4 pack of the Meandering Meadows DSP as part of your kit. You only need 9 sheets to complete the cards above and two of the cards will have extra DSP left to make even more cards. With that in mind I designed 3 more cards to use the leftover pieces of DSP and will . These cards are simple enough to make by looking at the pictures but I will show them at the end of class to answer any questions.

Your class kit will come with all paper, die cuts and embellishments shown to make the cards as pictured. You will need to have your own stamps, ink, glue and basic crafting supplies to make your cards during the zoom class. During the zoom class I provide instruction on how to assemble the cards. If you want to cut your own DSP so you can mix and match then differently than I have shown below let me know, otherwise I will precut all the DSP for each of your cards, including bonus if you buy the bonus pack.
